How is the wax plant doing, she asks him.
Pieter replies. The wax plant is doing well. Come and have a look.
And so she goes. That’s how the days go by.

Pieter and I met by chance. I saw him walking and started a conversation. That’s how a photographic project began – one that grew over the course of years. The images do not capture grand moments, but rather the slowness of the everyday, the rhythm of repeated rituals, and how two people can find one another in shared silences.
