Extreme temperatures, especially cold ones, can affect the developing process of a polaroid picture. In January 2024, Finland was struck by extreme cold weather, with temperatures down to -30° C in the region where I stayed. The unique distortions that sometimes occurred during development are clearly visible in most of the pictures, but it was impossible to predict if and where they would appear.
